Analysis of anger

Group show

Paula Fraile is a painter who delves into the interaction between light, space, and emotion, creating works that invite the viewer to see painting as something in constant transformation. Inspired by her travels, the changing light at different times of day and night, and her introspective process, Fraile seeks to unveil hidden layers of reality through her artwork. Throughout her career, she has developed a technique that extends the life of her pieces, working with ultraviolet light to reveal new dimensions in her paintings.

Using compositions derived from photographs, models, and collages, Fraile builds landscapes that combine inner emotions with the environment, generating new narratives that transform both the viewer and the artwork. Her pictorial exploration, centered on the cycle of death, transformation, and fulfillment, allows her to navigate between the visible and the hidden, creating landscapes that are both imaginary and deeply human.

In her piece “Sea of Blood,” part of the group exhibition “Analysis of Anger” in Leipzig, Fraile addresses anger as an emotion that can be transformed. Visualizing a sea of blood, the painting unfolds an emotional landscape where fury manifests as knots that unravel and turn into planes. Fraile questions the norms that lead us to disguise anger and, through painting, seeks to release and transform it into something better, integrating her inner landscape with the environment around her.
